The DaVinci Chode
I read the book a year ago. It was a well written, gripping novel of suspense, mystery, and murder. I just saw the movie ten minutes ago.
It sucks. Bad.
Apparently Ron Howard thought if he got Hanks to play the lead there would be a chance. Wrong. Hanks blows in this, possibly worse than he ever has. And Howard might have thought he could adapt this book to screen, but somewhere along the line you realize he's utilizing a recipe for a blockbuster, not a carefully architected plan to create a visually stunning masterpiece.
The elements were within the text to do so, but alas, Howard comes off a bit too Richie Cunningham in this pile of crap.
