Not A Bad Lookin' Hahn
First, let me explain that "hahn" is the German word for "cock". Not that kind of cock, silly. Chickens. (Though it's becoming synonymous with the English slang counterpart in our office. Please, use it when appropriate.)
One desk over from mine, my associate Kip has a calendar themed "Extraordinary Chickens". The award winning foul range from beautiful to repulsive, and we always look forward to seeing what next month brings. On Monday, April 2nd, we retired what I believe to be the most mysterious, captivating hahn I have ever seen.
I know, I didn't believe it for a whole month as I stared into its cold gaze. Is it Russian? Does it in fact have a mustache and beard combo? Is it communist?
I will never know. All I know is that for a month it haunted my dreams, and now, in its absence, I feel alone.
